  • It would be good if they brought Take the High Road out on DVD.

  • @Inverdarroch88 I actually found an STV dvd with the first 6 episodes on it - in the Soldier's Leap giftshop in Killiecranki!

  • Is the main instrument here called the Harmonium?

  • I believe it's the fiddle.

  • This has to rate as the longest title sequence of all time.

If anyone fancies watching these shows again, probably better think twice as the makers probably wiped a lot of the original tapes ala crossroads :(

  • This isn't an actual title sequence video, it's just a slideshow I made with the full length version of the theme tune.

  • R.I.P Take The High Road

    April 1980- 27th April 2003

  • Most of the episodes are available to watch on STV's YT pages. I've started with the original from feb 1980 and am up to about October of that year.

  • @Inverdarroch88 it's on sale in HMV - £9.99 for the first 6 episodes. If any subsequent DVD releases are planned wonder if they managed to find the missing 20 episodes?

  • this soap was aired in japan. i wonder if it was dubbed or subtitled ?

  • @davidn87 You know high road is on the STV Player now?

  • @midslad4fun You can get High Road on the STV Player if it is of interest to you.

  • @mcvieandrew Saw your comment and thought you might like to know there are episodes available on the STV player going back to 1980
