I was helping out in a science class at Hugh John. They were building a vehicle to safely transport an egg to the ground, by dropping off the roof of the school. As I was helping out, I was also experimenting with some of the materials, specifically a Styrofoam bowl. I decided to make my own vehicle to drop off the roof. Several of the students made ones with parachutes and/or balloons. I decided why not go without a parachute. It ended up looking like a flying saucer. It's made of 14 Styrofoam plates, a few pieces of tape, and a box stuffed with cotton and some scrap paper. It goes to show that even the simplest of design can work!
