Ludovico Einaudi's "I Giorni" or "The Days" played by Toby Vacher.

Apologies for the bad quality of the audio. The Piano is out of tune and the camera picks up the squeaking from the pedal! Hopefully you can still enjoy the piece depite that.

-----------------------------
At an early age i took piano lessons but was unable to read music or progress past grade 1.
In the last year i have tried to teach myself how to play certain pieces by following the hand movements of people playing the piece on YouTube videos, and by listening to a recording of the piece.
I am still unable to read music (other than a painstakingly slow process of working out each single note and relating it to a key on the keyboard).
My rythm and timing comes from many years of playing the drums.

  • must learn this by the end of summer!!!!!!!

  • I think you should be conscious of the left hand, and it's volume. I think in I Giorni it's important to bring out the right hand as the melody, and right now it sounds like the bass (left hand) is coming through too much at the beginning especially.

    Maybe something to think about.

Good job on the cover :)

  • very well played ! look at my channel, i play it, too

  • @123skard123 Very true!

As i learnt from youtube videos originally, I thought (as it seems a lot of other commenters did) that it should be slower, but the man himself plays it a lot livlier than most of the YouTube players.

  • Do you not have a sustain pedal mate

  • this is honestly the most beautiul piece of music ive ever heard... have to learn it!

  • babes you need to get your piano tuned. otherwise wicked

  • its very good, however your playing it too fast, thats tempo is about 120 its meant to be around 90 for the beginning and 110 for the chorus, good job though:)

  • I love your piano ...

    good job

  • I love this song, learnt it in a few days. I'm not really a great pianist but i found this quite easy as its repetitive. You play tihs piece beautifully! Good luck in the future =)

  • Mate I have a music ap on my I phone and it teaches you the stave...it takes tome but it's fun and after a while you will begin to read music...just stick at it....I play it on the bus or Train it's just repitition...I'm learning I giorni by reading the music...it's taking time but my ambition is to play this masterpiece....good job man! Tom
