My dad told me, that when this album came out, he bought it. He had never heard anything like that bass. It was really kind of a shock to him. So he decided to listen to the record, till the record was scratched to death. He's also the one who told me about Jaco and jaco has been my favorite musician since.

This is one of the best produced albums ever cut. Best song lyrics. Really great music.
The bass line on this alone is worth the price of admission.

Her music transcends generations. It was appropriate for my generation (hippie baby boomer), but is also relevant and appropriate for this generation, and others after it, I think. It is futuristic music. Let's go back to the future, so to speak.

Larry Carlton AND Pat Metheny on this same album? AND Jaco Pastorius? What is this, Steely Dan? Joni clealry never played in the minor leagues!

Love this song, this album, which I consider her best, but boy what a pretentious bore! I couldn't listen to the full interview she gave for the BBC and I'm a huge fan! It's no wonder she was always writing about failed relationships and no wedding bells ringing.
Love your songs Joni...let's leave it at that.
