NihontoDo Combative Kenjutsu

NihontoDo demonstration by Samurai Sports Singapore at The Heeren, in conjunction with the launch of Ninja Assassin.

This is the video of the Combative Kenjutsu portion of the demonstration.

Combative Kenjutsu is a high level module of NihontoDo, where sparring is done using shinai (bamboo training swords) and bogu (rigid protective armour). Combative Kenjutsu requires much focus and skill, and mistakes are not easily forgotten due to the harder impact of the shinai. Standing grappling and takedown techniques are also included (not demonstrated).
