  • what is this village name and location?

  • Actually I don't recall the name of the village itself but it is between Pakse in Southern Laos and Tad Fane sort of in the middle of nowhere. A Thai business man built the village and pays the kids to perform for Thai tourists (it is close to the Thai border). The kids were cute but clearly staged...

  • @john3427 I know what you mean...Laos is still the poorest country is SE Asia...What happen to all the dollars pouring into Laos from different Organization ,from the tourist..etc..the big dog took all the money for them-self....they be driving Mercedes Benz...BMW. etc.. while poor folks still living in grass hut..so sad indeed.

  • Sad they are told to do this to entertain tourists.

    Very sad :(

  • looks like salavan people of southern laos. i can tell by their clothes.

  • omg! i miss going to lao im going in march ...im lao and my gramma sang that song to me when i was little!

  • my grandma is from pakse sa bai di

  • to say that he pays the kids is very negatively misleading..this waterfall has an ethnic village rebuilt where they benefit from visitors in exchange for their culture. i think it's a good act of development.

  • uttayan bajiang (pasuam waterfall..uttayan means reserve)..pakse city, bajiang town, champasak district..from thailand through chongmek border

  • what ethnic group are they from?

  • Thats my people. they lao tin.
