During my time there, I was fascinated by the hundreds of stray dogs that roamed the streets of the capital city, Paramaribo. While I lived in Paramaribo,I felt penetrated by the dirt, the heat, and the rain. I wondered what it would be like to offer myself to the city, on my hands and knees. I chose the stray dog as my metaphor and my character in this performance.
