Stupid Cat

The truth of the matter is all living things learn by doing and experiencing - even when it's not so pleasant. Allowing their cat to experience being up there, since it climbed up there on it's own anyway, will likely help teach it not to go up there to begin with (hopefully).
Some people here (like aaalessandraaa) imply you didn't teach it anything because it didn't fall. I pity people who make stupid comments like that without knowing jack about this animal. But that's people for you.

"if you fall you will learn." that was good. XD

When cat has no name and one hears comment like "where's the other cat", it raises a concern. Their longevity and certainty of living in one place is always slim. Many people respect only that which has higher intellingence than themself or that which is stronger. Unfortunately.

I guess it learned even without falling, eh?

House cats are easy to take care of. If you ever take a cat, check out my toilet-training video. I'm sure you will love having a cat as a friend!

She was at a location where a sharp object might have hurt her. Cats are used to being picked-up by their neck skin. Trust me; any other part I pick her up on she won't be so gentle with me...

I have a cat that used to climb a loft railing in my mother's house and he could either fall only a couple of feet to the carpet on one side, or fall about ten feet the other side into the living room. He used to drive me crazy, but he always managed "tip toeing" on the railing which scared me to death.
A shorter fall for a cat is more dangerous than a longer fall because they can't right themselves in a shorter distance.

I'll try that theory. I live on the 4th, so I will throw her out the window to see if she lands on her paws! Just kidding. Actually I sometimes throw her in the air and she lands correctly on the bed (softly that is). Fun fun fun!
