I have to add one more big "Thanks"! You saved us a couple of hundred dollars with this video. FYI - for other viewers, I think the bit about reattaching the lock mechanism is a repeat of the previous short video section, not 100% sure, but that really doesn't matter. It took me 5-10 minutes to figure out how the clip fits in the handle before I slid it back on, but I think my brain was worn out and exhilarated from getting the rest of the bolts in without losing them.

Great video. Only grief for me was disconencting the handle from the door lock mechanism.
I followed the advice of putting a rag in the door to catch anything that fell. However, I failed to remember to follow the advice about removing rags when done (too tazy to rip it apart again, and it's not a window door, so my guess is little water gets in). No problems reinstalling the clip - I did like another poster suggested and put the clip on the handle then slid the handle on till it locked.

hey i'm having problem with the passenger sliding door....the child lock will not disable even if i flick the switch... so basically the problems i'm having are:
I can't open that door while fully closed... using keyfob or the button by the driver's seat... the person inside can't even open the door...

Just replaced mine after getting a little extra confidence from this video. Great help. Flew through the job except for the quick stop to my local Napa store since I dropped a stupid bolt in the door. You did warn me...twice. Thanks for the video. It ruled.

My passenger side door is not opening and I already had 1 of the 2 motors replaced. Is that what this video is showing me how to do?? Or is it replacing just the handle? Or is the motorized part in the handle?? Thanks for any feedback!!

I just replaced the same handle (passenger side) on a 2001 Odyssey as well. Followed the instructions step by step and it worked perfectly. I can second CelestialTrek's door clip comment - mine went flying as well when I removed it. Otherwise this was a very easy job - about 2 hours for me (45 minutes getting the clip back on).
Thanks Troutprofessor for an enormously helpful video!!!!!

Great videos. A big help. I just replaced this same handle on a 2001 Odyssey. Everything straightforward, as shown. The only 'trouble' area was getting the clip behind the inner door handle off, then back on. I used a panel removal tool on the clip, and it flew right off. So watch out for the flying clip! To put it back on, I put the clip on the handle first, then just slid the handle onto the handle assembly.
This video does not depict the motor. It only shows how to replace the mechanical parts of the handle.
