  • Well anything can kind of work for whatever style of music you play. Its just depends on how you use it and what shape your personell style will take. Take yngwie Malmsteen for instance he plays a strat which is mostly associated with blues but he shreds with it. But to more directly answer your question this isnt an axe you can just pick up and shred like a shector or ibanez, but with technique and style you could definetly get a metal sound out of it.

  • is the 1482 better

  • not sure i have never played the 1482.

  • what do you mean volumes at ten but ill move volume around?

  • i move the volume on the guitar

  • great sounding little amp. great to record with. hell, i use it live too.

  • Don't be sorry for lookin' like an idiot when u jam, the more idiotic U look the better U sound.

  • Does this guitar work for metal ??

  • @2ndDayRiffs They really are high quality instruments - I've owned a Strat, Gibson SG, Music Man Axis, and I've played a lot of excellent guitars: but the PRS Mira I just bought was quite a surprise. the setup (intonation, action) were dead on, and it holds tune better than any instrument I've owned. The wraparound bridge is a work of art and slick to re-string, and the low mass locking tuners are a dream. the volume/tone pots work like air hockey (zero friction).

  • PRS makes the best guitars in the world. I dream of owning a Starla one day.
