  • We need to make me a video so people know who I am!

  • @ChateauOfAMom we'll do it! You think of what you want to make a video of.

  • @ChateauOfAMom but not this week, I'm gonna take your suggestion and go Thursday.

  • a sub is not worth it if they don't watch. i'm just sayin'

  • @TheDanc1nghawk exactly!

  • I noticed you're "With Hands" project is just for NY. I have always been interested in learning how to bind books. Is there any chance you could make an instructional video? I live in Louisiana with little money and no way to find my way to any events for "With Hands." . I agree with your stance of quality over quantity and agree completely. I live in a space to small to be a pack rat. Thank you for the video, and hopefully you'll have a good week.

  • @FableofLife I've been wanting to make With Hands syndicate-able for a while now, and this gives me a little more encouragement to work on that.

There was a coptic stitch binding video that I used to refresh my skills before I taught that kind of binding. I'll find it and send it to you.

  • This is an interesting point, and something I've thought about recently. I appreciate increasing someone else's subscriber account to make them feel nice, but you get a lot of fluff subscribers that probably don't even watch the videos. I think it would be more accurate and beneficial if the individuals subscribed because they enjoyed the content on the channel.

  • Love this vid. I had never thought of dong book binding before. I think it would be very interesting to learn.

  • Also I really like your with hands project. I remember reading your material way before I was familiar with you (and therefore biased by liking you) and I really like the project.

  • Ah Emily sometimes you make me feel like my videos aren't smart enough. I agree with every point you make. I too can find myself somewhat crestfallen when regarding the numbers but as you said (and ironically we discussed in person) when I upload a video and it has comments from people I don't know IRL, it really makes it satisfying. I think I'm a quality girl but I might have to talk myself out of the quantity greed every now and then.

  • i completely agree! i get so annoyed when i get those messages! i really believe in the community on YT. i like knowing that my subscribers are subscribed because they like what i have to say, not because they just want me as a number. participating those messages cheapen the community.
