so is gravity. want to deny that that exists?

and the fact we have to make a new flu shot every year is already proof evolution exists.

  • @Seanze329 Ah yes this is why I come to atheist videos, where people in the comments section actually know what words like "theory" mean. Thank you sir! Keep fighting the good fight. Now if only dictionaries existed.....

  • @Daddios83 I believe you've mistaken me for someone else... Anyhow instead of the word 'god' you can insert anything you like I tried to type as compact as possible. you actually don't have to be religious to believe in a god; you might be spiritual and be not affiliated with any religion. I wouldn't think you doubt evolution etc. Anything could have a creator, but as I tried to say it's mostly either superfluous or anti realistic.

  • Reason Rally 2012! Fatest growing demographic in America baby!

  • @GLANL Why do you use the term "god"? That to me suggests religion. Again you miss my point and deliver me scientific reason and argument. I cannot make my point any clearer: I do not disbeleive evolution, nor do I disbeleive scientific findings. I have asked you more than once and still haven't had a satisfactory answer. Why can't an evolutionary planet have a creator? Because the result would be the same. . .? By saying that you are making a leap your science isn't even half way to justifying.

  • @Daddios83 PART2. “but god would have known this”. Some argue ‘probability is god’ but this is superfluous An interfering god would imply that any fundamental law of physics would be inconsistent i.e. “we can’t know reality” := ‘anti realism’. Any gods involved would be either superfluous (i.e. not omnipotent includes observant gods) or anti-realistic. Spiritual people could be creationists. It is possible to believe in both god and evolution but it’s impossible to do so and be a realist.

  • @Daddios83 PART1 Well, evolution: random mutation happens --> might be beneficial --> if so gets passed on. When we zoom in on atoms we should use quantum mechanics. Decay happens for no reason, it's just probability. Same goes for position and momentum. "Environmental agents such as nuclear radiation or chemicals can damage DNA" (I'm a physicist not a biologist). Even if a god positioned everything at the beginning of time just in the right spot, replaying this wouldn’t give the same result

  • @mishakol129 I always laugh atthe jump in logic from believing in evolution to the world being messed up and evil everywhere. It's just a leap over that little link between the two, because science deniers don't really know why the two could be related.

  • @TheHawthorneAbendsen I didn't say evolution is flawed. That would be ridiculous. I meant that evolutionary theory always seems to discount a creator. Why? What if evolution was created? In case you are mistaken, I am not religious. But again, who said only religious people can beleive in creationism? Again I point you to my opening question: Black and white? No grey?

  • @mishakol129 So whoever wrote Genesis recognized that things die. Why do I still feel unconvinced of this "proof" you submit?

  • I miss this guy.

  • @mishakol129 I'm not talking about A jellyfish, I'm talking about THE immortal jellyfish. If the bible were true, then the reason we die would be because yahweh, the emotionally and mentally unstable man-child, kills us for not living up to his impossible standards, which he himself fails to live up to. Lucky for us, this pathetic god is nothing but the imaginings of ancient and savage men.
