@overcastwithshowers haha i can see exactly what you are talking about. but as for office buildings, this is probably one of the more unique ones that i have seen in a while. I have not seen it in person, so i cannot properly critique the building, and with all respect to the architect, i will not. I would, however, recommend reading up into the building before you brand it with being architecture gone wrong. it has won numerous awards, and i'm sure there are reasons for the awards

The only one I wouldn't demolish is the Hundredwasser Haus. The rest are incredibly ugly. Vienna is an AMAZING city, but most of it's new architecture is terrible. Architects today (intentionally) ignore everything that was historically good about design in Vienna. They avoid the wonderful traditions of the place because "traditions aren't valid anymore", and perpetuate the mistakes made from the mid 20th century onward.

@thenotoriousadin When you stand under the main part it is like being under a motorway flyover with lots of dark and dingy corners and when it gets old shabby and dirty it will be a depressing place. The sharp points and odd angles do not Feng Shui the building in to its surrounds, it also makes breathing uncomfortable and a sudden urge to leave.

I am glad you agree with me. Architecture these days is to build a shape and cover it in glass which very quickly looks old, unkept and shabby. Vienna has some lovely old buildings and is in danger of loosing its way. I cant understand how some buildings get permission to be built. ( politics money corruption).
