Is played with exquisite sensitivity

Lastly, a couple other minor things that you do are at 4:19 where you randomly slow down, and then at 4:20 you play an E natural (not sure if that was intentional, or if it was a mistake).
And then at 5:10 where you play the left hand chords an octave higher than what they should be...perhaps you misread the score? I'm not sure, but they should be an octave lower than what you played.
Many of these things can be easily fixed, so I would just practice more (WITHOUT the pedal). :)

But I would also recommend to try and use the pedal with the utmost restraint. It almost sounds like you're relying on it a little too much. Beethoven himself didn't write any pedal markings for this. It existed in his time, he just felt this didn't need the pedal, so he didn't write any markings for it. There are only few spots where I would probably use it.
It also feels a little too exaggerated. I wouldn't try to pull back and forth on the tempo so much, as you're not playing Chopin.

It's not bad technically, but there are a few things that I find questionable..like the heavy use of the pedal on the clearly-marked staccato chords (you know, the three-chord motive that's used throughout this entire movement). Many people tend to use the pedal on the last of these three chords, and I find it so irritating because it makes it sound like only two of the chords are staccato, and then one of them is a tenuto half note.

by all means, it does not sound bad! i think your right in that it is soothing to take a break between those two frantic sections of constant triplets. to each his own!
very often you see amateurs upload only the first movement of this sonata, neglecting the rest of it. its good to see someone play and upload all four movements (btw where is the third one, i dont see it on your channel?)
i think this sounds fantastic! my only criticism would be that there's too much pedal in the middle section where Beethoven utilizes the relative major key.

Hey, thank you for your encouraging comments. I recorded the thid but wasn't completely happy with it...and actually accidently deleted it! I will upload it soon. I love this sonata - beethoven through and through...deep, meaningful, very strong and and passionate yet very tender in places. I wonder if the man was like the music...if so I would like to have known him

Your cooment regards the middle section has an interesting anecdote too. I was once in Chapplell of bond street playing this when none other than Joanna Maggregor passed by, stopped and pleasantly surprise commented "I've never heard anyone play it like this before" when I turned round and saw her I was so nervous I completely went to pieces! I think the way I play the middle section offers a fitting contrast/break from the previous frantic section to which one returns - I like it :0)
