The Power of Sound Team - "Neva Stop Tryin'"

Chicago Public Schools sponsored a 7 week music creation workshop where (10) high-school participants created a 4 song project from start to finish. The students were assisted by producer Xcel (Shawna, Ludacris) , Rhymefest and Mikkey Halsted, who helped the students craft their lyrics. Not only did the students make songs, but they were taught the fundamentals of songwriting and recording. The students were pushed to reach inside themselves and create songs with substance that was representative of their hopes, dreams and struggles.
