"Cuddy's Serenade" was composed by Hugh Laurie.
I played it by ear and I did a tutorial for you.
My performance isn't perfect. Anyway I think this video will make happy all fans of Dr. House.

  • You can find sheets relative to the video by typin' "cuddy serenade sheet house pl" on google.

I have a question maybe some of u can anwser:

I think that it's based on the G minor harmonic scale. So how do u explain the B and the F ?

  • The sheet music was made after my tutorial (and nobody write my nickname on this sheet music, I'm angry).

I can't explain harmonic scale because I never study the harmonic scale. I just played by ear this song but I can guarantee that I played the same notes that Hugh Laurie played in Dr house :) . So you have to do this question to Hugh Laurie eheheh

    Bye :)

  • Molto bella, piaciuta. Bella anche la canotta bianca... le tue mani mi pare di averle già viste però...mah...Ho un tarlo che mi rode in testa...sarà come la penso io o no? Ad ogni modo, complimenti, una esecuzione molto intensa.

  • Già so a cosa stai pensando eheheheh

L'unico consiglio che ti posso dare per per avere delucidazioni è vedere il video di Viva la vida (sta nei miei preferiti) oppure aspetti il nuovo 4 mani.

    Ciao^_-

  • hugh laurie is just the best!

and i love lisa edelstein. and huddy.

    and house./

  • Noted are good in general. Should be B natural in the right hand at 0:40, not B-flat.

I think the first section is suppose to be like a Jewish folk dance, gradually getting faster. It may help to listen to some klezmer music to convey the spirit of it better. Then the surprise D major modulation into a kind of cathartic soft piano rock for the second section. I see it as House using this outlet for his feelings since he doesn't really connect with the way other people express themselves.

  • 1:14 beginning the best part !!!

  • i just love the combination of the sweet melody then into a fast jewish bit then ending with "you cant always get what you want"

  • Beautiful.

  • It's created by House, right? For Cuddy, huh?

  • i want to know what the last few notes are from i dont think it is from you cant always get what you want if i remember correctly it is from some old sitcom or tv show but it is driving me nuts can anybody please help me

  • Hugh grant is so awesome cause I can't remember a song for a episode.

  • 1:33 and more... So beautiful :)

  • That is really very very nice. It is a wonderful piece and I admire you hugely for playing it by ear.

I don't know if it just sounds like that because of the recording - but I would use the soft-pedal less. The tones get a bit too mixed up - that makes it sound a bit -uh foggy, especially in the faster jewishy part. Just a suggestion ;)

  • 1:33 and from there....just beautiful

  • i'm not sure if it is but the last bit sounds like 'you can't always get what you want' rolling stones (?) it's been played a lot throughout house so it would make sense
