One thing you may want to consider with this cam is to use a circular Polaroid filter and a Tiffen FXIII diffuser Filter for a film look. I will post some footage soon with it.

It is an SD mini DV Cam I won one as well and love the look You have to watch the gain on them though and tweak the CP controls. I did a test shoot with a band using varied focal lengths and exposures and Some was goo and some was not so good but over all for a Mini DV SD it is a very cool camera for SD shooting. HD different story
