You're right. I do have no faith. Everything I think is based on reason and evidence.

As for evolution being my god, that's just flawed. You may not be able to contemplate not having a god, but I seriously do not worship evolution. I do not bow down to it, I do not dedicate my life to it, and I do not believe it will give me life after death.

Evolution has no concept of a soul, and therefore not believing in life after death is not de-evolution.

The soul is substantive. There is an old study where a dr. Weighed those sick and dying and at the moment of passing, the body lost an unexplainable 21 grams I believe, I know it was 20 something. The extra weight was not due to purging because these fluids/solids remained on the bed. The whole bed was the scale to take into account any such issues. @casketmouth I think most people that talk about a higher power tend to use "HE" I suspect but I could be wrong. I supose I could have said "HER" or "IT". What ever the truth is I hope it's a happy ending even though somesouls may have to learn a good lesson. There's a lot of bad people in the world as well as good ones. Peace.

Infidelguy I hope you can find some faith in the possibility of the existance of some kind of God. The God in the Bible doesn't much sense to me either. If there's a God I'm sure he will understand your point of view. Remember just because our parrents tell about Santa Clause doesn't make them bad people. Maybe the Bible is like the Santa Clause story, after all God considers all of us his children (if he exists)

I consider myself an acnostic not an athiest. I consider the possibility that there could be some higher intellagence. The God in the bible doesn't make much sense to because I ponder the same thing the infidelguy ponders that God already knew Adam and Eve would eat the fruit. It's possible God tells us about Hell so that there's a better chance that humans will behave better on Earth even though that's not always the case. If there's a God I have faith it will be a happy ending for EVERYBODY!

I'm with ya man! Those "who know" are fooling themselves. Question it all until the truth is proven as fact. Faith is for the ignorant or weak. However I don't dislike the faithful. Life is a cruel mistress and sometimes you need a crutch to keep going. So even if you believe that Santa Claus is protecting you, as long as it keeps you going, I say go for it. Just don't lose sight of the truth behind the veil of disguise you've created.... And don't get in my face with your bullshit!

One of the worst arguments I've heard is that God erases your brain when you reach heaven. So you have no knowledge of anyone you previously loved/liked who's in hell.

That is truly terrifying to me.
