These clouds are forming weekly. I followed this cloud for 30kms. Destroyed the next major city Calgary's only beach, which will be closed for at least 2 weeks now. Baseball size hail was reported as the spin was quite powerful already when I captured this hours before it hit. News mentioned they had seeded the storms in the area to keep the the hail from doing more damage..? Makes you wonder what's going on up there.

  • All supercell thunderstorms have these to some extent - they're just not always this visible. Good video.

    While you can't directly see the mesocyclone (being air and all), you can sure as hell see the effects it has on the clouds that form within it.
