The late Geeta Bali, the Late Shammi Kapoor's wife, was one of he most talented Bollywood actresses I know. Her roles in Bhagwan Dada's Albela, Raj Khosla's Milap are some of the best ones anyone could see. May Geeta Bali live peacefully wherever she is.

Voice of Lata along with simple dholak bits and lyrics straight pierces heart. Every time I listen it it takes me to a different world. Wish to see this movie. Can any body help me in locating the movie????

Shammi Kapoor still fondly remembers her. She, in my opinion, was the most versatile actress ever, who, however, did not get memorable roles as Nargis did in 'Mother India', Madhubala did in 'Mughal-e-azam', Nutan did in 'Bandini', or Meena Kumari did in 'Pakeezah'. But anyone with an eye for acting talent can gauge her range from whatever movies she did. Even her debut film 'Suhaag Raat' is a testimony for the extent of her talent, which unfortunately remained more or less untapped.

YT is like a vast beach with pebbles and pearls and sometimes the devoted fans come across gems like this to be picked up and treasured. There are many ways to describe Lata's singing...may be saying Immortal should be sufficient. Geeta Bali is unique in every respect....she has the freshness, purity and those soulful eyes couple with most natural acting ever seen on Indian screen. Pity we lost her early:(

@Voltairec Words regarding Geeta Bali absolutely apt. She, alongwith Nutan, is in my opinion, the most talented actress in the Hindi Film Industry. Geeta Bali, though, was not lucky to get any memorable role, but she did enough work to prove that she was the most versatile actress to have ever graced the Indian screen.
