Haley's Act- HR1947

EDIT: I have been getting an increasing number of hate mail about this video, from the exploiters upset that this may make them lose money. I have disabled ratings, but they will be back as soon as the hate messages stop. The lengths abusers go to... it's so sad!

Haley's Act will bring change for animals that are suffering and being exploited in zoos and roadside attractions.

Here, many places allow public contact with big cats (cubs in particular, adult big cats are illegal to come in contact with but it happens A LOT). It's ridiculous, and many people have been hurt during these encounters. Not to mention that many places that use tiger cubs and other young animals will often discard them once they reach the age and weight limit that the USDA requires in order for the interaction to be allowed.

No education is gained from petting a tiger. We only gain pain in the long run.

Please contact your state legislature and urge them to support HR1947- if not for the animals, then for the people who have been hurt and killed just to pet or have their picture taken with a big cat.

This is made to appeal to those that may not care so much about the cats but who will care about the people. If you care about the cats, this will most likely appeal to you as well though. If I make another, it will be about all the animals who have been hurt and killed through animal-human interactions, and why this act will benefit them.

ppl who support this act are just too blunt. Yes i see definant reasoning behind it. And, I agree something should be done to restrict things more. but CachangaCaracal has no imagination just the boring facts of doing wut is better for humans even if it restricts the animals worse and worse

Actually, I am supporting this bill because the benefits it would bring for the animals, not for the people necessarily. This would really help with the problem of roadside zoos breeding to death their animals so people can hold their cute baby tigers, as well as prevent animals from being killed for attacking people.

this is really great. humans should be supporting animals and their natural habitats instead of exploiting them. it is completely unnatural for these undomesticated animals to be subjected to any of this treatment.

What do you expect if you have your picture taken with a

wild animal..it's insane;and horrific that they killed the cat after this incident;are people that stupid that they would risk theirs and others lives for the sake of a picture?These animals should be free anyway;not there for idiots to gawp at;while they are stuck in cages..of course they should pass this law..

Who cares if people die from stupidity. If someone isn't born with the sense to stay away from that kind of predator, then evolution say they die. Why does everyone get so sensitive when some idiot who gets into a cage with a wild cat dies. I think its rather funny. But killing the cat that is doing what it is supposed to do naturally???
