  • RubyClaire, I don't know if it is the music or the tutorial. I've watched it many times but this time was different. I can't help but cry. I have a grandbaby girl that live 9 hrs from me and we visit all the time. She will be 4 next month and every day we do crafts. We paint, draw, stencil, stamp etc. I'm thinking about having her start her own art journal. This way when I'm gone she will remember how much her granny loved her and the projects we did.

  • @sharoncaillier That is so beautiful, thankyou so much for sharing, <3

  • maybe Im mistaken here, but I dont understand certain aspects about layering. It seems to me that the bottom layers become obsolete. For instance, why use a delicate green water color pencil only to paint over it with an opaque green paint (which looks like an acrylic)?? The end result shows no sign of the water color being used at all. Im not questioning the talent of the artist but the technique itself. Just seems like so much effort to add dimension only for it to look flat again.

  • When i made this page I had no idea where i was going with it. I just did layers for fun, experimenting as I went- to see what would happen when i added different elements to each other. This was one of my first few art journal pages so I was still very new with all of the paints and pencils. You can only learn and discover techniques if you experiment. :)

  • I am amused! It's the first video of you, which I found accidentally and definitely not the last one. I love your art! And it's great choice of music too. :)

  • I loved watching you make this video.

Today is my birthday and in honor of it, I am starting off a new journal (in a binder instead of in a Moleskine- this is a scary new adventure!). I've been procrastinating though, since I'm scared and unmotivated- but when I watched this video, you basically lit a fire under my ass. Thank you so much for this video. I'm going to treat myself to a couple of more of your videos before retreating to my art room! *hugs* Thanks so much for your inspiration.

  • this is absolutely AMAZING

and i dont want to be picky but it sorta annoyed me that you kept changing from past tense to instructions :S

  • I loved watching the process of this journal page...just beautiful. Its exactly how one goes about just discovering, playing and growing in their art. Excellent!!
