astro van running off a propane torch NOT gasoline

i am running my van on propane with a torch as a redneck carburetor. fuel pump was unplugged so no gas would bev injected into the engine.

here in the UK cars some cars are converted to gas known as lpg as petrol is so expensive £6 a gallon lpg is £3.50 a gallon

Looks like a nice idea in the event you run out fuel along side the road but I think its rather dangerous without a fire arrester. But this proves you can run a car on vapors rather nicely and not do anything to it.

Hey thanks for the heads up on how to run a vehicle people may not take this seriously but when the gas crisis hits we need to know how to take care what has to be done if a crisis hits again... the strong survive through knowledge and the weak keep looking for it...

i did that to my van when the fuel pump relay went bad, i stuck the open end of the propane hose in the air cleaner air inless, with the air cleaner still in place, adjust the fuel flow and crank the engine till it runs, and adjust to the proper fuel flow to maintain the vehicle speed, works for me till i got the van home, and replaced the fuel pump relay switch
