Gloomy Valentine tells the story of a woman driven mad by loss of love. Weaving the lyrical with the monstrous the film is aesthetically ... all » influenced by gothic surrealism. Isabel Peppard the film's director and lead animator says "Gloomy is haunted by the memory of love and in the end she is consumed by nightmarish shadows." • This is great! Looking forward to the next one :)

  • @Beauflex78 News flash on the next production - shooting is beginning next week so we'll soon be able to direct you all to a nice new website showing off some pretty pix from the production as it happens. Stay tuned...

  • Strange but deffinately creative. It's a shame these kind of videos don't get more views.

Even if you have trouble with a story line or making a scene, just keep pumping out stuff like this and your art form will evolve itself into something great. You've got a good start, don't stop.

  • @TheWanderinSoul thanks for your comment! Tell all your friends and we'll get the views up!

  • We are making more now - new film 'Butterflies' due out sometime late 2011. A preview link will follow soon...

  • So gloomy indeed. Would the DVD have just this video?

  • yes - the DVD has just this video! But also 5.1 sound, and a plastic DVD case, and a paper cover insert! - cheers Warwick

  • the end means that if you keep going with that type of sadness you can eventually die out. The shadow was simply herself trapped in fear.

This video, the images, the music Everything is meaningful, don't take the shadow or the flying heart like something different than a metaphore, specially since she's Completely alone in that room.

  • i actually think it was a very artistic way of stating insanity by the hands simply melting away. And the hair simbolized her dying, wraped alone.
