@SUP3RPELUCHE you say it's embedded chip inside the MB... but what I see is turned on computer with loaded OS and some application? So running in safe-mode and checking what's in actually may work :)

It is hardcoded into a isolated chip on the motherboard within the BIOS not the hard drive.

If someone steals it, they would probably format the hard drive. How would it protect against that?
