Burning Man is an event that take place in Navada, Black Rock Desert. Over 50,000 people showed up this year making Black Rock City the 3rd largest city for this one week event. Our camp site is know as Tetrion and we have a large screen playing Tetris.

Everyone is welcome, it is the color of humanity at Burning Man. I have camped by fellow humans from Nigeria, Israel, Palestine, China, Sweden, New Zealand and Iceland. I got lost one Burn and some how ended up camping in the International Section. I live right by where Burning Man is held and I felt like I had traveled over all the world by the end of the Burn.... So Yes.... The whole human race is welcome. Love is what you bring and Love is what you take with you when you leave.

There are not a lot of people of color on the playa, which I think is the one missing thing in the community. The themes of Burning Man includes radical expression and acceptance of just about everybody and everything. Both are achieved successfully. I think you would feel very welcome. (But I'm not black, so only conjecture.)

I don't know why there isn't that many, but I've seen a few black people out there. Everyone is welcome, everyone is there to express/enjoy their self, everyone is there to see art. You will love it.
