Hair Washing at Hair Saloon

My sis, Jessieca Wah, is washing her last customer's hair for ending of year 2008.. It's the last day for her to be a shampoo girl in my aunt's hair saloon at 30th Dec 2008..

they apply the shampoo to dry hair first then some use a spray bottle and some use a squirt bottle with water or diluted shampoo and apply that to the hair and lather it up. sink time is tight and they give a scalp and neck massage while shampooing. they then wrap a towel around the client and walk them to the shampoo bowl to rinse. it is wonderful.

Ok, so washing you hair while sitting up...how does this work exactly? How do you rinse the hair out? Do you move the client to a wash basin? Why use a towel, and not a protective plastic shampoo cape, and maybe a towel too? Interested in how you do all this.
