  • Curly had such incredible right hand speed for those triads, but his left hand was the perfect partner. Otherwise, it couldn't have worked so well.

  • @walknsteel I would love to talk to Jimmy Capps on his time along side with Curly. Jimmy was one of the early Chet-pickers and still is super smooth as shown in this clip

  • Jimmy Capps is one of my daddys best friends. Along with Tommy Nash, and Mark Stricklin. My Dad is a musical genius.

  • I consider Jimmy Capps to be one of the best guitar players of all times. Deserves much more credit.

  • The first 41 seconds is probably some of the hottest steel licks a person will ever hear....then the lead in Curly gives to Jimmy is unreal.

  • Wow....what a treat from two of the best in Nashville. If only we could turn back the clock and have the true country music of Nashville back then!

  • Is there any other steel played with such a fluid left hand ? so free and smooth like he slides in fine oil.
