On the scoreboard kevin garnett led Boston with 24 points and 14 rebounds.Paul Pierce had 22 and put a scare into the crowd when he sprained his knee in the third quarter and was carried off the court.He returned a few minutes later though, and sank back to back 3-pointers.Kobe Bryant was game-high for LA with 24 points, but only made 9 of 26 shots.Game two is Sunday in Boston.-----------------------------Wild night at Fenway Park Thursday.Manny Ramirez homered, and had 5 RBI and got into a shouting match with a teammate as the Red Sox beat the Rays 7-1.There was also a bench-clearing brawl after Boston's Coco Crisp was hit on the right hip by James Shields and charged themound.-----------------------------------Cole Hamels pitched a three-hitter for his second career shutout, as the Phillies beat the Reds 5-0.----------------------------------------------- Atlanta's Chipper Jones belted his 400th career home run Thursday night and had four hits in a 7-5 victory overthe Florida Marlins.With that, Jones raised his major league-leading batting average to .418.He's just the third switch-hitter to reach 400 home runs.---------------------------------------------------------------------------­-----Ana Ivanovic advanced to the French Open final for the second year in a row, beating Jelena Jankovic 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 Thursday. Ivanovic will face number-13-seed Dinara Safina for the title.
