Look, I'll be the first to admit that I love being something of a perpetual kid...but not a perpetual CHILD, if you see the difference. I still play like a kid, but it's the child who expects someone to catch them when they fall.

...which is how the religious treat god. Even if that god is real, they should probably be ashamed of themselves for not finding their own solutions instead of praying. Aren't they often told that god helps those that help themselves? What do they think that means?

  • Your argument here doesn't work very well. Assuming that God is our Heavenly Father, it might follow that our entire existence here on Earth is only the infant stage of spiritual development in which case it may not make any sense to abandon child-like behavior as far as spiritual matters go. Naturally, this is a worthless point, as I would first have to show that there exist spirits, Heaven, and a Heavenly Father.

  • @TheShibo Except that we clearly CAN stand on our own, and accepting someone else's "supposed to" is to allow them to beg the question.

  • @BionicDance,I had to ask myself, what would cause anyone, athiest or not, to post so many videos..then it hit me...you are looking for reassurance from your fellow athiests because you are not comfortable with your own beleifs. Your family probably critcize your thoughts. What is the real reason for your insecurities? You posted way too many videos..lets me know you arent sure...for good reason...means God's spirit is still within you...not too late for repepntance...God is real!

  • @REV7verse9 Wow...what a crock of shit.

Did it ever occur to you that I was a film major in college, and have been studying animation since high school? Did it ever occur to you that I'm a lesbian and religion seems determined to make sure I have no rights? Did it ever occur to you that I care about what's real and true, and religion does its best to pervert all of that?

Religion has to be FOUGHT AGAINST, it harms us all.

...but you'd rather be insulting and engage in bad amateur psychology.

  • @starberry2947 Frankly, I don't see how innocence is a good thing...and lacking it is NOT the same thing as being jaded.

  • But still, you gotta admit, childhood is all fun and games... ^_^

  • One of my favorite videos. The Abrahamic faiths want you to remain spiritually a child forever. But it's now time to grow up. We have too.

  • because we as humans are easily corrubtible and will never make it on our own spirtualy...

  • @Nightmare060 It really does seem that way doesn't it? A very good point! *Tips metaphorical hat off to you*

  • Or, as a wise man once said, "A father is not someone for you to lean on, but someone who rids you of your tendency to lean."

  • @67576856666478964567 i know she at least be bi

  • @JesusChristHardCore BD made a point that people grow up and get their own lifes, and your only counter argument is that the exact description she made of the process might not be true?

And I salute you for your reasoning, naturaly anything good made by a religion counts, while any bad thing can just be ignored. And following it up with a straw-man of comparing critizising systematic abuse by an organisation to applying actions of single individuals to unrelated people, thats pure genious.

  • @JesusChristHardCore So your complaint is that I did not write it in singularis and capitalized? Get used to it, I dont give special treatment to any imaginary friends...

And my point still stands, compare rates for crime, powerty and foreign aid with the statistics for religious belifs in countries, then come back and tell me what you base your argument on.
