Piano solo starts chill at 2:26 and covers much ground in 2 minutes, an eloquent favorite.
Classic track.

I love this whole album. wonderful.

These four guys are the BEST JAZZ ENSEMBLE OF ALL THE PLANET! "Time Out" and "Time Further Out" are a lesson about tempos in music. They are the only ones to play 7/4, at 'Unsquare Dance', in 'Time Further Out'... Simply brilliant!

i picture all the shapes on the cover re-arranging places and swirling around during this song

1:03 -- Manteca?

This always reminds me of my dad who used to play this album and teach me different time signatures. Now I play drums and I find his teachings very useful!

at 242 gets really really cool on the piano
Thanks for sharing, pepxxx. This is what I cut my teeth on. I'm 66 and a chemo patient and when I listen to this on headphones, Dave and Paul take me for that wonderful ride. Oh, how they swung. And then Blue Rondo a la Turk, the piece de resistance. Have you watched Next Stop Greenwich Village, Paul Mazursky's fun autobio film? Those two songs kick it into high gear from the credits onwards. And those lovely time signature changes. Sigh. Sublime.
