The planets await us.
SETI has a chance to explode technology with knowledge from the stars.
Astronomy from space can make The Hubble seem like a toy.
NASA has huge potential for mankind, but it is being wasted.
Name one life changing advance that came from the International Space Station. Billions of dollars are wasted on a useless symbol.
The US Space Shuttle is old, dangerous, and impractical. It soaks up money that could be used for real science.
Take our eyes and ears to the the stars. Humans need not attend the automated machines of space exploration.
Putting men and women on Mars will be a disaster of death. Do we want to waste Billions to learn that we have limitations?
There is so much to gain, and instead there is so much waste.
In the beginning graphics it says "on" time use rockets. I was trying to say "one" time use rockets.
I'm not going into space and neither are you, so stop saying "We". I don't feel any exhiliration from watching someone else fly around in space, doing nothing of importance, while I foot the bill.
Do you know that we could send a telescope into space to find other Earth-like planets, perhaps even finding evidence of life on them, while using a tiny fraction of the money it would take to send a person to the Moon?
Mars would be much costlier and much riskier because of the distance and gravit

Quite right. Using anything other than robots for space exploration is both too costly and too risky -atleast for the next 30 years or so. Technology needs to improve somewhat first.

if aritfical intelligence is man made and real intelligence is natural then what is extraterestrial intelligence? (unknown)

However, if 40% of the airliners failed countless human lives would be lost. So, even though you a probably right about NASA being a giant political machine these astronauts are obviously willing to take the risks. I guess you are right though: the money could be better spent on new\better technologies i.e. Ai, propulsion systems, etc. Maybe exploring remotely is a better way to go until we have much more reliable\sustainable space craft.
