Any particular reason the exhaust is spitting fluid? I'm not a boat person but I'm pretty sure exhaust of any engine is meant to expel only gases.....
If you're talking about the exhaust flappers- they're to prevent the rush of water that occurs when you slow down from blowing water back into the engine and hydro-locking it.
@MENFOERHELVETE they could have a valve on it, but you are right...redundancy...and it would take away water from the exhaust that is used to keep it reasonably cool so that it doesnt burn the rubber hose that will be used to connect the end of the pipe to the exhaust tip.
@MENFOERHELVETE Boats that have "wet" exhaust (water coming out the exhaust pipe) usually discharge all the water they use for cooling this way, but boats that have "dry" exhaust (like car headers) have to discharge water somehow. This is usually done with what is called a dump valve. You might do a search on YOU TUBE or GOOGLE using my name.
@MotorsbyShooter Still not quite sure what you are talking about, but that is mainly because I know nothing of marine engines hehe. This regarding the valve, not the supercharger.
@MENFOERHELVETE Sorry...wasnt clear on the dump valve. There are also dump valves for water discharge on boats...beside discharging water thru the exhaust. Never seen a dump valve on a supercharger, but I have seen them on turbo systems. The supercharger on this motor isnt much. It also doesnt have a chiller so it pumps in hot air. If you are going to run a supercharger...run a good one...like something from The Blower Shop and a chiller for a cooler denser, air pack.
@yellowmusicfreak LOL! even my GF knows why there is fluid coming out of the exhaust!

@MotorsbyShooter But this engine uses its exhaust, would it still have a valve? And if so; for what purpose? Redundancy?

@MotorsbyShooter I assume here that you mean the supercharger dump valve, how would that valve make it sprout water?
