Well you just thinking what you want, but it does happen. Maybe with all dogs. And yes I have owned dogs and have one right now. But she goes by car with the a/c on. But have it your way, I don't know anything about them, I only worked for a vet!!!

Think what you want; I guess you don't own a dog. If you're driving and your dog is by the window, down all the way or just half, if it chose to jump you wouldn't be able to stop it in time. They don't jump. This doesn't mean no dogs jump ever, but the ratio of dogs that jump out of cars to those that don't, the number is negligible. Otherwise, you would see dead dogs all over the road because lots of people drive with them.

It still doesn't make any difference on how old a dog is.  And believe me there are dogs that do jump out, as I stated previously. And it would make a difference if the dog would be inside, even with the window open. It all depends how far you have that window slid open and the size of the dog. At least you would have control of it.

Don't be an idiot. Look how old that dog is; its owners know it well. Yes, you're right that if there were a sudden stop the dog COULD get injured. Dogs aren't stupid, you know. It's not just going to jump. It's not like it was its first time it was up there, you can tell it's well-behaved and trained, and that he likes it. The same goes for dogs in the back of pickups - they don't just jump out at random. Having it inside with an open window would be no different, either.
