@AyeOkNowFuckOff could have turned off the television before it started playing. You should have known it was due to start as it happened every night.....

@Feisty1967 As far as i can remember we always had british terrestrial tv since the mainland had.... we all had the same ever since. I rem the channel close downs and qstq anthem every dam night lol.

@AyeOkNowFuckOff Did you receive BBC tv in Ireland in those days? How did you receive it? There were no satellite dishes in those days. Just curious that's all.

we irish are grateful for the BBC and the programming nowadays but in those years we had to listen to that anthem which was nasty in those days.
