  • Yeah, because UT music is under budget.. I revealed my identity... but it is.. Axiom!!!! Thanks Tom... but teach how to record

  • The level is clipping on the video recorder. He needs an external mic.

  • Hello,

I watch your episodes regularly, but I have to say that I don't like the quality of the sound. The noise is harsh when you play loud and when you talk I can barelly hear you. That is really the only complaint I have, otherwise I love your show.

  • I've been guilty of playing wrong rhythms in rubato sections. I remedy this problem by playing blocked rhythms (as you presented) or some type of Guatemalan Roll with the assistance of a met. Pending on the particular issue I may try to be creative with the met. then try to get myself away from it

  • Hi,

in response to the question, when Wan-Chun Liao gave a clinic at my school's day of percussion she told us what she does to break down a piece and i now use this method. When I first get a piece, I stand in front of my marimba with the music in my hands and visualize, using sound thinking, how the passage that I am working on feels and sounds in my head. I will also work out stickings doing this too. It also helps wth memorization; it helps a lot.

    Hal
