anyone who thinks a GD show is always a "soft sweet gentle place to be where everyone is cool" certainly not at Deer Creek 7/2/1995. In any case I miss Jerry so much it hurts & go Furthur!!

I completely agree with SBgonias. Can totally visualize that. Nice work!

This is funny... I remember stealing the ten packs of maxell's to tape shows lol

The bill walton story , about obtaining a shirt form D Latvala at a show , is just hilarious . I hadnt laughed like that in a long time .. Dick gives him the shirt , and keeps dancing on .and the Walton sees him later that night , still with no shirt on .. classic

The Maxell ad is hilarious-
promoting tapes as a sound quality purchase- The same sot of people promote digital reproduction and would scoff at tape these days...
I only been to one Dead show ever...
July 12th 1987- Giants Stadium with Dylan...
Excellent!
but hey! I play Dead songs at all me gigs...
that OK?
OMG...when i was 15 i got stuck standing right behind Bill Walton on the floor at Winterland, he could tell i wanted to get around him so i could see the boys work their magic..he turned around and asked me if i wanted to get past him..i was tripping soo hard (and i was a studderer anyway) i was unable to form the words "yes please" so he picked me up and placed me in front of him!..Thanks again Bill!

I have always thought that they missed the boat by not offering a subscription to Dicks Picks. I was surprised that Capshaw did not pick up on this when he took over the distribution. Too late for that now. This would have made it easier for us and provided a more consistent predictable flow for 'The Band' to enable them to keep it coming.
I put it on my suggestion card way back then...

Phish....hell yeah!!! I was born in '74 so I didn't get to see as much GD as I wanted, but was up to 123 Phish shows after Coventry. I've seen all the New Year's runs and Halloween shows since '95. I also flew out to B-town for the 20th anniv show, although it seems like every show I've seen there NYE '96 and 20th Anniv, the sound wasn't any good. MSG is my favorite arena followed by Miami and Hampton. Hopefully they'll be back soon, I'm jonesin' big time!

Yeah Phish is so damn good. They jam like no one else can, its so amazing to see them. I hope they are back soon, they're always off and on. Is San Francisco as chill as they say it is? I was there a couple of times when I was younger, but I was too young to appreciate the vibe.
