I lived in Columbiana County for several years when I was a kid.
The story I heard is that the tunnel did not cave in but was covered by a landslide and should still be structurally intact under all that dirt and rock. There used to be a large trestle upriver of that rail line but it was torn down. A friend and me camped by the creek below the trestle and just for shits and giggles we slept ON the trestle one night right in the middle between the rails. Good thing we don't sleep walk...lol.

I have no idea where it was exactly, just know that there was one.

I had heard that area was supposed to be haunted but nothing specific. Thanks for information, great video also!

There are stories and history in that area that have been hidden for years. Do you know if there was ever a town down there? I am finding websites that claim there was a town called Grimms Bridge. I know there was a school because I am friends with the lady who owns the school building. It is her house. But the town of Grimms Bridge isn't even on any maps in the 1800's.

My mom it's true there was a town called Grimms Bridge many years ago. I don't have any time period for it though.

I have a map of St. Clair Township form 1872 and it is not on there. Towns like Jamestown and Cannonsmills are there and they are long gone today, but no Grimms Bridge. Do you know which side of the bridge? Or if it was even near the bridge at all? Perhaps it was down closer to the locks? There is a stone fence up in the woods across the road from the creek.
