@pinyinhead easy! the "R" in chinese is not like the "R" in english
Look "Ren" would be like: Shrek! that's it, like Shrek! but here you have to say: Shren!
so the "R" in chinese is like "shrek" without the "k"
fa guo ren = fa guo (shren) :P

zhou means "continent" so Africa is a continent it is called FEIZHOU(FAY-ZHO) is this correct teacher?
Canada is "jiannada" (jee-ahn-nah-dah)
