This was actually the first concert I ever attended.
-
They played Chicago a day before this and Robert was sick then also.

I was there. This was a terrible performance, and I've been to many. I rather have heard nothing than to hear him sick as he was. It was like nails screeching on a chalkboard

uh what a voice, sexy no matter what, love Robert

Robert is a true gentleman. Couldnt ask for a better singer!! Love him!!! :)

Aww, poor Robert ~ What's he saying there: "...30 years of singing and I've never ever had a... ???" The last word, what's that? Thanks.
-

Robert's so adorable. just listening to him apologize for his sore throat - which isn't his fault - and hearing his poor voice...it pulls at my heart strings.
he still sounds so lovely and at the same time you think "aww, bless poor Robert - he's caught a cold".
i just want to give him a nice big hug.:)
Robert is such a great person, always concerned to be on eye-level with his audience.
His charisma (just like siouxsie) grows with age.

I really agree. It's been so cool to see him mellow out over the years and interact with the crowd more during shows. Totally creates a tangible connection to the Mighty Smith that some audiences in the early years were far removed from.

I have only been blessed to see them one other time in "Detroit 1989 Disintegration tour..which was also an unforgettable show...my seats were way better for this one and I got to take my daughter Charlotte to her first concert. Will never forget it :D

First, I would've given "anything" to have seen a Prayer Tour show-that time was sooo influential and powerful in my life! And how cool all these years later to take your daughter as a second generation Curehead...lucky girl, does she loooove her name?!!! Envy!!

It was a magical evening! That venue was personal and charming, and what a summer night to be outside celebrating with The Cure! We are the lucky ones!
