Erin came into Pensacola in August 1995. Opal in October 1995. We had just moved to Perdido Key in June of 1995, so I remember it well.

Erin came before Opal and Erin was nothing like Opal, Opal was harsher while Erin was a meek hurricane but a hurricane nonetheless.
I lived in Pensacola, FL. being 10 years of age and I wasn't too freaked out by this hurricane, nether was my brother and my mom and step-dad kepted us safe but Erin was nothing but it did have some winds, I will say that lol.

What was interesting was that Erin came in first and later in the year Opal came ashore almost to the day that Erin did a couple of months earlier.

I liked Bruce Edwards back in the day... he always showed his love for Cleveland. Best location in the nation. I remember he always had an Indians coffee mug at the desk.
