Although I'm not an active CB user myself, I do own a little TTI TCB 550. It's useful to have this radio in the car on long road journeys - if you get caught in a traffic jam it can be helpful to hear what information the HGV drivers are passing back down the line as it were. And when ionospheric conditions are right, you can hear truck drivers who are 4000 miles away. Note that American CBers use AM and SSB. On the busier AM channels you might just hear a cacophony of many heterodyning carriers. Having a rig configured for those types of modulation is not permitted in all countries (it is allowed in NL where this film was made). Check your national regulations.
