george is one of the pioneers thats for sure but we cant forget bill napier, i think he was playing that style before george

well George is almost the Father of the crosspicking and i' know that this technique is very hard if you try to find the perfection will be one of the five most hard difficult technique of Guitar world but many people know one amazing guy well a KING of guitar a GOD of guitar MR. Robert Fripp may be you heard the one of his master piece FRACTURE from Starless and Bible Black is amazing when i heard i think that there were a two guitars playing at the same time but there were just FRIPP
