The Cuvier's dwarf caiman or Musky caiman, Paleosuchus palpebrosus, is from northern and central South America. reaching a length of up to 1.6 m for males and up to 1.2m for females, they are the smallest crocodilians. the young eat invertebrates, while adult caimans eat both fish and invertebrates. they will use burrows to shelter during the day, and will lay eggs on a mounded nest which hatch in about three months.
