The 9 vs The Fallen Lords Skills Demo 8/9 - Rabican

"The 9 vs The Fallen Lords" is a map created by Souly (Onyx), where you control the nine Avataras in a direct conflict with the Fallen Lords and their minions - a great lot of them.

Basically, it's a kind of a "Mazzarin's Demise" only, in a way, more RPG, so to say.

And now, for a change, meet one of the most awesome of the nine: Rabican, the Avatara of...well...awesomeness.

This guy can kick some serious shit out of things. He is a 100% hardcore melee unit, and he shall kick thy arses!=P

His melee attack is slow (gets faster with kills) but very powerful! But apart from that, he manages to be one of the most versatile characters.

He has three spells and two spendable abilities - to use a Shade's magic cube once, causing a weaker version of Alric's dispersal dream and the Regeneration ability, usable three times. The latter makes Rabican an invaluable asset. Spend those three charges wisely!

His spells are also very powerful - the "flame of truth" (used incorrectly in this video) is a direct lightning attack that can do some serious damage to any strong enemy and is especially useful to weaken the fallen lords. The "static aura" is a perfect spell when you decide to take on an entire army on your own - just don't use it near your allies - it will really annoy them!

Finally, you get to summon a very powerful pet - a gryphon, which can serve you much better that any German Shepherd will=P

Another quick sidenote: if Rabican's spells are all light-based (including the Gryphon summoning), can't he be considered "Avatara of Light", in a counterposition for Avatara of Darkness Phexios?

Well, yes, I suppose so. But "avatara of light" would just sound too... too weak for someone as awesome as Rabican=P

Quick side note: if Rabican's Static Aura is active, keep your units NEAR him because his beams heal (albeit a little bit) allied units, so for a longer time Rabican will heal them (almost) completely! Good play!

Rabican looks like he could man handle Soulblighter. Why'd he take on Shiver? I guess Maeldun is the wizard that stands up to Soulblighter via lightning attacks.

I personally find Rabican as one of the key characters to beat the level. Like, there are some who are just there...and there are others without whom passing the level would be just impossible.

I already knew Rabican and his Flame of Truth spell... but his other abilities and the Gryphon summoning made him very unique among The Nine! All this has raised Rabican in my scale!
