labs are really smart, i was trying to teach him not to beg while people were at the table, and i just said go away and went to lay down on his bed, and i never even taught him that! :O

ohh my gosh, i just think the high five and little pups are just the cutest things, their paws waving in the air :) i taught my 10 week golden pup this today and wow she is so cute doing it. thanks for posting this vid i love it!

Our newest addition is now 2 weeks old. Brixton has a brother! It's a full blood brother. He's got the same mother and father as Brixton. His name is Dexter. He comes home in about 4 weeks. I'll be sure to post some videos when I have them.

my dog's so dumb (or at least we joke like that) she only knows sit and shake. She won't even lie down. I thought labs were supposed to be intelligent... I do sometimes wonder if my lab understands me though. It seems it though... hmm

Labs are smart, but they are also easily distracted and are like the "class clowns". They require patience. It's tough to teach a lab puppy anything until they are close to a year old. You can do the basics after 6 months, but the real training starts after a year.
