urbanconfederate you sound mad, yes the "cloud" has existed for a long time but "cloud computing" has become apparent that we can depend on it for both server and client use which has not been used this particular way. We can use a thin client, cell phone, netbook, or a computer with an existing OS all through a web browser. Even windows is ready for it. take a look at win8 demo at winrumors and of course Google has Android and Chrome

News flash: "cloud computing" is just a buzzword, like "information superhighway"; a slightly more poetic flourish on a dead-simple concept. What is cloud computing? It's a freakin' network. That's all it is. No new technology, no revolutionary breakthroughs that will change humanity. Just cheap hardware and more of it.
