Ace Hahn " Just The Way You Are " Drum Cover Interpretation - Bruno Mars

This cute and catchy jingle from Bruno Mars is entitled "Just The Way You Are". Admittedly this took Ace nearly an hour to get a good take. Not quite satisfied with the errors but it was fun recording it.

2:42 - 2:58 - Riding on the floor tom with 16th note triplet subdivisions. Both feet come down together on the one. High tom accentuates and compliments the tom / tambourine pattern.

3:10 - 3:35 - The 16" PST 101 Crash and 18" PST 3 crash/ride helps crescendo into the ending after a mean jungle groove on the toms.

What do you guys think, do you like this one or the ATL overhead angle?

Nice Job! I like your Orbinated setup. I do think that if you played over a metronome that some of your strikes would be more on point, although it is more fun to play over a song. It's nice to see another drummer influenced by Travis. Cheers.

haha tempo a bit out sometimes, but cool man... i really like your video because i can see what you're playing. not like a lot of other people's videos, they make their video so flashy and in the end i can't learn anything.. some tips on how to get the tom groove? (the second part of the chorus) because it seems really tricky to coordinate the right with left hand
