  • "Secondly, the Type 45 radar is among the best in the world"

    It has 2 main radars.

"it can track up to 1,000 targets"

This is the S1850M, a traditional Surface Search Radar, and it is more like "objects" not targets. Radars 30 years ago could also track 100's of objects, but classifying them as targets requires separate computing ability. Plus the Earth is not flat, limitations for over-horizon search still exist.

  • "sorry, but this scenario is highly unlikely."

I did write - virtual battlefield. A single Type 45 would not be operating by itself in a hostile environment. A group of Type 45's would likely operate with a group of Type 23 Frigates and 1-2 Submarines.

"would deploy as part of a carrier battle group"

When did the UK Navy become the US Navy? The Carriers the British currently have are quite limited in what they can do.

  • Any chance you could make a video of a russian Carrier escorted by a kirov with support vessels against a USN CBG?

  • The Type 45 - Currently the worlds best warship. What a suprise... Its British!

  • @guntotingtomcat So you're saying that this "class leading" British warship was declared operational with a quote "completely untested computer" - that is what you said, right?

That of course isn't true, but it is funny that you said it nonetheless.

The Daring class is a poor shadow of superior European designs like the Sachsen and De Zeven Provincien class, and at twice the price of comparable vessels, it's also horrendously expensive.

  • @WinchesterRanger

Wow, that's like saying a gun is shit because it has no bullets. Nice one.

And it was the completely untested computer that failed, not the radar.

  • @WinchesterRanger you said the british wish it wasnt. somehow meaning that they are afraid of the truth. thats what doesnt make sense. Infact dont bother replying coz i wont. petty arguments

  • @MyOvenIsRacist I'd love to know what the hell you're talking about, but I have no idea. You seemed to infer that the information I was posting was somehow confidential, which it isn't, now I have no idea what you're babbling about, certainly nothing meaningful.

  • @WinchesterRanger no as in the RN website is british, if they didnt want it on there they would have pulled it. and yeah where did you come up with this information from? pulled it out your ass? thought so.

  • @MyOvenIsRacist Err that's what "public arena" means Einstein. As for combat tested, the very last thing anyone should want for a Daring class "warship" is for it to be combat tested, it is essentially defenceless, right now it has the deck gun and a chopper, it would be outmatched by a WWII 6 inch cruiser of the same tonnage.

  • @WinchesterRanger err. not really as most of that information can be found on the royal navies website and wikipedia. i would like to see this thing combat tested before anyone starts slating it.

  • @LozSlater94 All that information is freely available in the public arena - the British just wish it wasn't.
