This is my favorite all time movie. I was able to identify with all the characters at different stages in my life. The young girl, the wife, and then the man. Beautiful movie.
This video makes me remember the movie which was so romantic and sad at the end. Oskar died way before his time. I loved him in this and Ship of Fools. Thank you for posting
Chaffin1013 - exactly the same! I saw the movie when first released, my first week of going to work. I saw it a couple of times, but, thankfully, fell for Barbara Ferris instead of Oscar. Barbara, it seemed, immediately went into lockdown and perhaps obscurity.
I have played this on guitar for about 40 years without knowing the words or chords until i caught this on Youtube a couple of years back. Now i can sing along with the correct tune! Timi was absolutely fantastic, so undersold.
I haven't heard this in way too many years to count! I saw the film when it was released in 1968; I was just a teenager and this film had a huge impact on me. I ended up with a crush on Oskar Werner and this song haunting me! So wonderful to hear it again, the way I remember it from the film. I'd love to see 'Interlude' again; hopefully it'll be released to DVD someday -
This song -- "Interlude - Time Is Like A Dream" - is right up there with Andre Boccelli and Sarah Brightman's "Time to Say Goodbye." I certainly would love to hear Boccelli and Brightman do Timi justice by covering this song and acknowledge Timi Yuro. If they have done it already....I am not aware.

I saw the movie recently on local TV. Very touching. Morrissey has a good solo version of the theme on You Tube , search: Morrissey Interlude (demo)

Actually, what I heard is that they do want it rereleased! Trying to get enough signatures up...There is a website...Oskar Werner Online Index...

@YCTANGHKGGG Yes I wish someone would be smart enough to release this classic in DVD/Blu-ray. Damn they don't make movies like this any more :-(

@dc2010ist A much more softer version by Timi Yuro. Wow I love it just as much... It brings back fond memories.
